Möst has received numerous distinctions including First Prize in the international Tiziano Rosetti Competition (Winds and CD categories), a prize at the Contemporary Music Competition in London, and the award for Best Wind Player at the 3rd International Viennese Competition. Christoph Bielefeld studied harp in Germany and Switzerland. He currently serves as Solo Harpist of the Bruckner Orchestra Linz, and has performed as a substitute player with the Vienna Philharmonic, the Hamburg Philharmonic, and the Berlin Philharmonic. Bielefeld is also a faculty member at the Mozarteum University in Salzburg.

He later moved to France to pursue musical studies at the Paris Conservatory, focusing on musical reading, analysis, and composition. He has also drawn artistic inspiration and guidance from notable musicians including Argentinian concert guitarist Roberto Aussel, Uruguayan maestro Abel Carlevaro, and British lute player Terence Waterhouse. Through years of dedicated exploration, Cadena PĂ©rez developed his own distinctive technical approach to the guitar, informed by both classical tradition and his independent research.

At the age of 5, he won the 3rd prize in the Bay Area Piano Competition 2020. His achievements in 2021 include Second Prize in 2021 Vivace International Piano Competition-North America, the GOLD MEDAL with a special prize Best Performance of Chopin Music in the WPTA China-North America International Piano Competition and Honorable Mention award in 2021 International New Star Piano Competition. More recently, he won First prize + special winner in 2022 US OPEN Music Competition, First prize in 2022 VIVALDI International Music Competition PRODIGY category. First prize in 2022 Beethoven young musician competition. Besides piano, he loves various composers and learning different musical styles. Also enjoys Ice Hockey, ski, swimming, reading, and drawing.

    < Back Previous Qianci Liu Next Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall November 21, 2023 WATCH VIDEO Qianci Liu earned her master’s degree in cello performance from the Manhattan School of Music under Prof. Marion Feldman, and her bachelor’s degree from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music under Prof. Jiuhe Chen. With more than fifteen years of experience in the performing arts as a performer, instructor, composer, recording artist, and concert producer, she currently serves as the Executive Director of the Paulus Hook Music Foundation, the New York Big Apple Music Festival, and the New York International Symphony Orchestra. Qianci has performed as a cellist with the Shanghai Opera House Orchestra and served as principal cellist for the Broadway musical The Lion King (Shanghai Tour, 2005). She appeared as a soloist at the Shanghai Bund Lights Show Walking on the Bund and has been featured in numerous recording projects, including the Global Music Award–winning album On and Between composed by Zhen Chen, and the soundtrack Wait for Me for China Central Television. Her commercial album credits include A Cellist in Shaoxing Road, Xian Qin, Little Reunion, and Pray for the World. As a composer, her recent work includes the musical animation Lily, to Mom and Candy for cello and jazz band. On October 15, 2023, Qianci made her Carnegie Hall Zankel Hall debut in the concert Wandering Melody with the New York International Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Elias Miller.

Fantasy for Flute and Piano Joseph Russo 00:00 / 07:22 Music Blog and Catalogue Composer Joseph Russo studied with Robert Starer and Vincent Persichetti (among others) at Juilliard and with Luther Noss at Yale, attending composition/music theory classes at both schools. Russo has developed and continues to develop his own personal melodic and tonal compositional style. He has composed numerous chamber and orchestra works including “Elegy and Prayer” for Strings (1985), “Concordance” for Double Brass Quintet (1991) Flute and Oboe Concerto (1994), “Celebration” for Orchestra (1999), Triple Flute Concerto (2000), “In Memoriam” 9/11 - for Strings (2001), “Tribute” (2002) for Concert Band (commissioned by Northeastern University), First Symphony (2004), Kyrie & Gloria(2005) for choir and chamber orchestra, to name just a few. Russo’s First Symphony (2004) was premiered by Orchestra New England in New Haven on May 1, 2004. His Triple Flute Concerto (2000) was given its west coast premiere in La Mirada, California in October 2007. His Septet “Distant Light” for Flute, Clarinet, Harp and String Quartet – commissioned by the Fontenay Chamber Players – was premiered by the commissioning ensemble in April 2007 in Wilton, Connecticut. On November 2, 2008 Russo conducted the European premiere of his “Concordance” for Double Brass Quintet in Hanover, Germany. His “Mourning Mist” for Guitar and String Quartet (2008) was premiered at the Long Island Guitar Festival in 2013, his Four Pieces for Strings “Homage to Bach” (2009) was premiered by Orchestra New England in 2009 and his one movement brass quintet “Hannoverture” (2008) was premiered in Germany in 2008. His trombone quartet “Seasides” (2010) in three movements was given its world premiere in the UK. Joe’s Symphony #2 (2012) was premiered by Orchestra New England in New Haven in 2013. Joe was commissioned by the Palisades Virtuosi (NJ) to compose his Friendship Trio (2016) for flute, clarinet and piano – this piece was given its world premiere in November 2016 by the commissioning ensemble. His tone poem “New England Portrait” (2016) for chamber orchestra was premiered by Orchestra New England in February 2017. His Third Symphony (2016) was given its world premiere by Orchestra New England on March 9, 2019 in Battell Chapel in New Haven to celebrate the orchestra’s 45th birthday. In the fall of 2017 Russo was commissioned by flutist Helen Rosenblatt to compose music for the newly formed Connecticut Flute Orchestra – the premiere of his “American Robin” and “Mountain-laurel” for Flute Orchestra was given in September 2018 at Wesleyan University (CT). In 2018 Joe’s ballet music “New England Portrait” (
with the same instrumentation as Copland’s original Appalachian Spring ballet) was given its world premiere performance by Orchestra New England. In the summer of 2018 Russo completed work on three orchestra works: “Forever Young”, “Remembrance”, “Elegy” and “In Memoriam”. “Remembrance” had its world premiere along with his Third Symphony on Orchestra New England’s March 9, 2019 concert. His overture “Forever Young” was first performed at New Haven’s Memorial Day concert in 2019. During 2020 and 2021 Joe completed work on his Fourth Symphony, Fantasy for French horn and Strings and Fantasy for Trumpet and Strings
all awaiting their world premieres. In October 2023 Joe oversaw the recording of his First and Second Symphonies by the Navarro Symphony in Pamplona, Spain.     < Back Previous Anastasiya Squires Next Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall April 4, 2024 WATCH VIDEO In 2019, flutist Anastasiya Squires (Ganzenko) was named winner of the Aeolian Classics Emerging Artists Competition. As part of her award, she performed recitals across Illinois and released her debut CD on the Aeolian Classics label. Squires began flute studies at the age of four and won her first international competition at the age of seven. Since then, she has continued to build an international performance career, appearing in major festivals, competitions, and concert venues throughout Europe and the United States. A native of Ukraine, Squires received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees (cum laude) from the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after Tchaikovsky. She later earned a post-master’s Solo Performance Diploma at the Chicago College of Performing Arts of Roosevelt University, studying with Richard Graef (former Associate Principal Flute, Chicago Symphony Orchestra), Mimi Tachouet (Lyric Opera of Chicago), and Eugenia Moliner (Cavatina Duo). Squires has appeared as concerto soloist and recording artist with numerous orchestras, including the Lviv Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the Symphony Orchestra of the National Music Academy of Ukraine, the Lviv Chamber Orchestra, and several ensembles in Illinois. Her performances have been presented for distinguished audiences including the President of Austria, the Ukrainian Minister of Culture, the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait, and at the Palace of Wilanów in Poland. Her competition successes include the Luminarts Cultural Foundation Classical Music Fellowship, the CCPA Concerto Competition, and the Evanston Music Club Scholarship Competition, in addition to Grand Prizes at international competitions in Europe and numerous national awards in Ukraine. In January 2021, Squires had the honor of performing for Chicago’s Dame Myra Hess Concert Series.

Sherif Mohie El-Din was appointed conductor of the orchestra in 1995. Later, the orchestra was headed by various Egyptian and international conductors. The former President, Mr. Mohamed Hosni Mubarak, President of the Republic, inaugurated the new Egyptian Opera House on October 10, 1988, after an absence of seventeen years, since the old opera house was burned down in 1971. The new Egyptian Opera House "The National Cultural Center" is one of the symbols of Egyptian-Japanese cooperation Which expresses the depth of the bonds of friendship between the Egyptian and Japanese peoples. The Japanese International Cooperation Agency ( JICA ) coordinated with the Egyptian Ministry of Culture, and it was agreed on a design that was consistent with the buildings surrounding the house, and the design was characterized by the modern Islamic architectural character. The construction area includes 22,772 square meters, while the building itself is located on an area of 13,855 square meters, with a maximum height of 42 meters. They played together for many years for their own enjoyment and as a way to introduce Fedor Ouspensky to the wealth of piano trio music before forming an official group. As Fedor's own interests in music developed, so did the casual pastime turned into a professional performing trio, with its own unique focus on bridging tested classics with contemporary music written in the XX and XXI centuries for a variety of settings such as opera, film, game, ballet.
