He received his BA and MA from The George Washington University and his Ph.D. in music theory and composition from Michigan State University. From 1990 to 2010 he has thought music theory at the J.M.-Hauer conservatory Wiener Neustadt, since 2004 he has been lecturer for harmony and counterpoint at the University of Vienna, since 2006 he has held a lectureship in harmony, counterpoint and instrumentation at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater „Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy“ Leipzig, The main field of his musicological research is the so called Tintinnabuli Style of Arvo Pärt, whom he has known personally for over 20 years. < Back Previous Sara Mahn Next Flutist Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall June 28, 2025 WATCH VIDEO Sara Mahn discovered her passion for the flute at age ten, inspired by its expressive range and capacity for storytelling. One of her earliest and most meaningful memories is playing Danny Boy for her late uncle, who encouraged her devotion to music by gifting her flutes. That bond of music and memory continues to shape Sara’s artistry today. By age twelve, Sara knew the flute was more than a hobby. Recognized for her talent by her teachers, she began private studies and soon distinguished herself as first chair flute in both her school ensembles and the regional youth symphony. As a high school junior, she won the symphony’s Concerto Competition, making her solo debut with the orchestra. Sara went on to earn her degree in flute performance, serving as first chair in both the Orchestral Band and Symphony Orchestra. In her senior year, she captured first prize in her university’s Concerto Competition, affirming her artistry among peers. While rooted in the Classical tradition, she has since expanded into Jazz and Rock, embracing a wide range of musical expression. In March 2025, Sara made her international debut at Vienna’s Musikverein and the Palace Coburg as part of the Winners Recitals of the Special Venue Music Awards. Audiences praise her ability to balance technical precision with deep emotion—hallmarks that make her one of today’s most compelling young flutists.

He has held senior management positions with numerous American radio stations, including WFMT and the WFMT Radio Network/Chicago, WBUR/Boston, WGBH/Boston, WCRB/Boston, KPFA/Berkeley, WBGO/Newark, Vermont Public Radio and Nebraska Public Radio Network.ork. Robinson served as general manager of the statewide Nebraska Public Radio Network (1990-2000) and WFMT and the WFMT Radio Network from 2000 until October 2016. A 50-year radio veteran, he has produced programs ranging from classical music documentaries to public affairs programs and has directed over 100 on-air pledge drives. In 1984, he co-founded AIR, the Association of Independents in Radio, a service organization to assist independent radio producers in the United States. Robinson wrote AIR’s first two successful grants from the New York State Council on the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts. She received her Master Manhattan School of Music, New York, previously studying at the MSM Precollege and with Dr. Anna Ouspenskaya at the Levine School of Music. < Back Previous Orrin Pridgen Next Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall November 24, 2025 WATCH VIDEO Orrin began his musical journey at the age of 6, studying piano with renowned instructor David Vancampen, before continuing his training under the guidance of accomplished pianist Kikue Swensen. He further honed his skills at the NY Conservatory of Music. Orrin’s passion spans a wide array of musical styles, including jazz, classical, ragtime, contemporary, blues, soul, and meditation music. Over the years, he composed, arranged, and improvised original pieces while performing across the East Coast in venues such as Vivaldi Restaurant, The Consulate of NY, Waltz Astoria, Cafe Wha, and The Palisades Center Mall, among others. His performance experience extends to recitals, weddings, churches, and business events, and he has collaborated with various musicians throughout the tri-state area. Outside of music, Orrin pursued a Master's in Business Administration from Long Island University and completed Executive Education courses at Columbia University. He currently works in the real estate industry. Orrin's musical journey also includes a formative experience in high school choir, which led him to begin singing and performing at his local church. As a singer-songwriter, he enjoys writing music and performing at live venues, often incorporating keyboards and guitar. Beyond his musical endeavors, Orrin was a Division I scholar-athlete in college and is a passionate photographer.
