< Back Previous Jack Nossaman Next Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall April 28, 2026 WATCH VIDEO Jack Nossaman (12) is a pianist from Northern Virginia who has been playing for six years and studies with Anna Ouspenskaya at the Hunter Mill Music Studio. He is a sixth grader at Nysmith School in Herndon, Virginia. Jack was awarded first place in the Northern Virginia Teachers Association Competition in 2024 and 2025. He enjoys a wide variety of music and is especially drawn to connecting with the emotion and character of a piece. Outside of piano, Jack spends a lot of time on the baseball field with his Vienna-based teams, where he has earned All-Star recognition. He is competitive and enjoys the challenge, but has learned that, like piano, the biggest gains come from showing up each day, putting in the work, and trusting that small improvements will add up over time. Away from the piano and the field, Jack enjoys basketball, reading, traveling, and time with friends.

< Back Previous Giampiero Bugliarello Next Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall April 1, 2024 WATCH VIDEO Giampiero Bugliarello was introduced to the piano at age four, when he began experimenting with the family instrument and exploring its sound with an empirical curiosity. His formal musical training soon followed under the guidance of Ketty Teriaca. At age ten, he began studying music theory with Alberto Alibrandi, who guided his development as a classical pianist, composer, and jazz musician. At age eleven, Bugliarello enrolled at the Vincenzo Bellini Conservatory in Catania, under the direction of Carmelo Pappalardo, and graduated with high honors in piano performance. In 2015, he relocated to the United States to continue his studies in Piano Performance. He earned both his master’s and doctoral degrees at The Catholic University of America, where he was awarded two full scholarships and served as a teaching and research assistant. After completing his doctorate, he was appointed an ad honorem visiting scholar, conducting research for the Latin American Music Center in collaboration with Naxos en Español. Bugliarello currently teaches piano, composition, and music history at the Music School of Delaware and at the Fairfax Conservatory of Music in Fairfax, Virginia. He has furthered his musical studies at the Sommerakademie Mozarteum in Salzburg and at the Washington International Piano Festival. He is a prizewinner in several national and international competitions, including the Catholic University of America International Piano Competition, the Gianluca Campochiaro International Competition, the J. S. Bach National Competition, and the Ibla Grand Prize. His performance venues include Wiener Saal, Art Barns, Covington Center for the Performing Arts, the Kennedy Center, and Carnegie Weill Recital Hall. She was also a semifinalist in the Sound Espressivo Competition. Olivia enjoys performing on stage and thrives in musical settings. In addition to piano, Olivia loves dance. She is a member of a junior competition team and trains in ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and musical theater. Energetic and curious, she enjoys drawing, gymnastics, and playing basketball, and lately has taken an interest in badminton with her dad. Warm-hearted and community-minded, Olivia has performed piano and dance at local senior homes every Christmas since age five, sharing music and holiday cheer with residents.

< Back Previous Anastasiya Squires Next Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall April 4, 2024 WATCH VIDEO In 2019, flutist Anastasiya Squires (Ganzenko) was named winner of the Aeolian Classics Emerging Artists Competition. As part of her award, she performed recitals across Illinois and released her debut CD on the Aeolian Classics label. Squires began flute studies at the age of four and won her first international competition at the age of seven. Since then, she has continued to build an international performance career, appearing in major festivals, competitions, and concert venues throughout Europe and the United States. A native of Ukraine, Squires received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees (cum laude) from the National Music Academy of Ukraine named after Tchaikovsky. She later earned a post-master’s Solo Performance Diploma at the Chicago College of Performing Arts of Roosevelt University, studying with Richard Graef (former Associate Principal Flute, Chicago Symphony Orchestra), Mimi Tachouet (Lyric Opera of Chicago), and Eugenia Moliner (Cavatina Duo). Squires has appeared as concerto soloist and recording artist with numerous orchestras, including the Lviv Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic of Ukraine, the Symphony Orchestra of the National Music Academy of Ukraine, the Lviv Chamber Orchestra, and several ensembles in Illinois. He is a member of the Houston Youth Symphony Sinfonia Orchestra, one of the Houston area’s most competitive youth ensembles. He previously performed with the Opus 99 Youth Orchestra in 2022 and was a dedicated member of the Opus 1 Chamber Music Ensemble from 2022 to 2025. Edison has earned recognition at the regional, state, and national levels. He was accepted into the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) Region 27 Middle School Symphony Orchestra, ranking No. 1 out of 180 violinists through a rigorous adjudicated audition process and performing as Concertmaster in 2025. He was also recognized as an Outstanding Soloist by National Orchestra Honors. He earned Honorable Mention in the Houston Youth Symphony Concerto Competition in both 2025 and 2026. In 2025, he received a “Superior Plus,” the highest rating awarded at the Gold Cup Federation Festival by the National Federation of Music Clubs. He also received an “Exceptional with Honors” rating at Level 7 from the American String Teachers Association Certificate Advancement Program. Born on November 1, 2006, in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, she grew up with her parents and older sister in an environment that nurtured her creativity and love for music. Encouraged by her mother, who recognized her musical talent early on, Amalia has been deeply connected to music since childhood. After completing primary school, she chose homeschooling to devote more time to her artistic and musical development. During this period, she focused especially on composition and participated in several creative projects, including the Composition Camp in Boswil (2021–2022) and the Student Manager Program at the Tonhalle Zürich (2023–2024). In Boswil, Amalia composed original works that were performed in a final concert, gaining valuable insight into different compositional styles and approaches. At the Tonhalle Zürich, she worked as part of a five-member team to organize a concert — contributing to concept development, budgeting, lighting design, and taking responsibility for communication and social media. These experiences strengthened her ability to work creatively within a team and to manage musical projects professionally. Amalia’s goal is to study Film and Theater Composition at the Zurich University of the Arts (ZHdK), where she hopes to further develop her compositional voice and create music that tells stories and deeply moves listeners. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, visiting museums and concerts, climbing with friends, and cooking with passion. Curious and open-minded, she loves exploring ancient cultures, discovering new experiences, and continuously learning. He studied harmony with teachers Lito Valle and Salvador Grecco. Pianist, arranger and composer, he began his professional career in 1985. In 1986 he joined the Héctor Vernier Typical Orchestra, in which he spent five years. During that period, he alternated this activity with works as a soloist and accompanist for singers in nightclubs in Buenos Aires. In 1990 he formed his first ensemble, the Oscar De Elía Trio, and it served as the basis for the formation of the Quinteto del Plata, in 1994, debuting on a tour to San Pablo, Brazil. In 1991 he was summoned by Ernesto Baffa to join his trio and his orchestra. He remains in the same 3 years, acting in Berretín and Café Homero. With him he recorded the C.D. "Calavereando" and travels, in 1992, to France, performing in Paris, Rennes, and at the Festival of Argentine Tango and Culture in Nantes. In 1992 he is part of the group of founding musicians of the Municipal Tango Orchestra of Moreno, under the direction of maestro Eduardo Cortti. In 1994 he occupied the piano of the Carlos Galván Trio, with which he performed in nightclubs and festivals throughout the country, and participated for two years as a pianist and arranger in the television series "Crónica de los sábados" (Crónica TV) and "The night with friends" (ATC - Channel 7). Since 1994 and to date he is a pianist in the Osvaldo Piro orchestra. In it he records the C.D. "Timeless Tango" and "Min-On Tango", and takes part in the tour to Japan in 1997. Stable pianist from 1994 to 2023, the date of his retirement, of the Argentine National Music Orchestra "Juan de Dios Filiberto", dependent on the Ministry of Culture of the Nation, with which he performed throughout the country, and an important tour to Japan, as well as Chile, Paraguay, France and Sweden.
