    < Back Previous Jacqueline Liu Next Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall November 24, 2024 WATCH VIDEO Jacqueline Liu, a seventh-grader from North Carolina, began studying piano at age eight under Florence Ko, a distinguished teacher recognized in the Steinway & Sons Hall of Fame. Jacqueline has earned numerous awards, including First Prizes in the NCFMC State Royalty Competition, NC Young Artist Auditions, American Music Talent Competition, and the State Maxine Taylor Fountain Award. She is a Grand Prize Winner of the 2023 Concert Artists International Competition and has performed multiple times at Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall. Internationally, Jacqueline has performed as a soloist at the Guangxi Culture and Art Center in China and with the Nanning Symphony Orchestra, receiving repeat invitations for her outstanding artistry. In 2024, she won first prize in the Peter Perret Youth Talent Search, performing with the Winston-Salem Symphony, and her online audition with the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonics (FBM) Orchestra in the Czech Republic was highlighted by Conductor Gevorg Sargsyan for her delicate touch and mastery. In addition to piano, Jacqueline excels in vocal performance, winning international competitions including the 2023 American Protégé International Vocal Competition (Classical Repertoire Category), and has been selected for the NCMEA Honors Chorus two years in a row.

He has held senior management positions with numerous American radio stations, including WFMT and the WFMT Radio Network/Chicago, WBUR/Boston, WGBH/Boston, WCRB/Boston, KPFA/Berkeley, WBGO/Newark, Vermont Public Radio and Nebraska Public Radio Network.ork. Robinson served as general manager of the statewide Nebraska Public Radio Network (1990-2000) and WFMT and the WFMT Radio Network from 2000 until October 2016. A 50-year radio veteran, he has produced programs ranging from classical music documentaries to public affairs programs and has directed over 100 on-air pledge drives. In 1984, he co-founded AIR, the Association of Independents in Radio, a service organization to assist independent radio producers in the United States. He has held this position since 2006. Mr. Rosenberg has recorded with The New York Chamber Players Orchestra on the label, CRS (Contemporary Record Society) He was a featured clarinet soloist at Merkin Concert Hall with Giacomo Franci, Pianist. He has freelanced in NYC performing in a broad range of classical ensembles as a clarinetist including Empire State Sinfonia, Bleecker Street Opera, New Jersey Pops Orchestra, and the Goldman Band as well as many others. Mr. Rosenberg's freelance performance background includes multiple credits in Orchestras in Broadway Productions of "Les Miserables, " "Cats," and "Titanic." Fred Rosenberg has recorded with Dance Clarinets, a jazz ensemble of clarinets with rhythm section. With permission from the Kachomo village leaders students from our academy will create KDF Micro-agriculture-academies and Micro-textile-academies to demonstrate their new skills and technologies. This will be of great benefit to the students and the local communities. Modern textile and agricultural developments are essential in today's world. We will donate each micro-academy to the villagers as our students travel through Kachomo returning with new information as time passes. Planning for the Future The implementation of Further Educational Institutes in ‘Vocational Studies’, include ‘Music’, ‘Agriculture’, 'Textiles' and ‘Sport’ that will work alongside other national and international universities and colleges, are a long term goal for KDF to help it become a beacon of success for the region.

He earned both B.S. and M.S. degrees from The Juilliard School in New York City and went on to receive a Ph.D. with highest honors from the University of Paris. Dr. Schwartz served as Dean of Humanities at the University of Puerto Rico and held major academic and administrative positions over a distinguished 33-year career. He was honored by the French government with the title Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et Lettres. An innovative composer, Dr. Schwartz is celebrated for his music theater works, many of which actively involve the audience in the performance experience. His compositions have been performed worldwide at prestigious venues including Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, The Kennedy Center, Centre Pompidou, and the Reina Sofía Concert Hall, among others.

She is the founder of EastWestArtistryNYC, an organization devoted to bringing people and artists together through collaborative cultural experiences, social events, and creative showcases. Lena is also an author, blending humor and emotion in her writing. Her debut novel, From Bars to Bliss: A Tourist’s Tale of Love Unexpected, is available on Amazon, and she is currently completing her second book, Turning Struggles into Songs: From Bars to Bliss II. Her musical album, Harmonies of Two Worlds, can be heard on Spotify, reflecting her unique blend of Eastern and Western artistic influences. The Butler Philharmonic performs music of every form and genre at indoor and outdoor venues across the region. Founded in 1951 as the Hamilton Symphony by Drs. Fred Baumgartner, Kurt Lande, and Joseph Bein, as well as Frances Tidings, Harry Carroll, and Al Sutphin, the Butler Philharmonic has remained dedicated to outstanding and uncommon programming. For more than 60 years, our community has thrilled to the sounds of international guest artists, the finest musical talent in the region, and renowned conductors. The 75 member professional Butler Philharmonic Orchestra typically presents 4 to 5 concerts annually to packed houses. The Butler Philharmonic Chorus, formed in 1997, made its debut at the first Ohio Mozart Festival in 1997. In 2005, the Chorus performed under the baton of noted English composer John Rutter in Carnegie Hall. In 2018 the Chorus returned to Carnegie Hall to perform Maestro Paul John Stanbery’s own Music for Mass. Meet the Conductor Previous Next Scott E. Woodard is the music director of the West Virginia State Philharmonic Orchestra (formerly known as the Charleston Chamber Orchestra) and the Butler Philharmonic Orchestra. Dr. Woodard’s primary teachers were Dr. Leonid Korchmar of the Mariinsky Theatre and the St. Petersburg Conservatory and Dr. Oleg Proskurnya, with whom he studied the methods of the Leningrad School of Conducting developed and taught by Maestro Ilya Musin at the Leningrad Conservatory from 1932-1999.In 2005 and 2011, Woodard conducted orchestras of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society and the Mariinsky Theatre in concerts throughout the former Russian capitol. He is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Conductor’s Guild and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity. You will meet the Judges during Live Audition. Live Auditions are held virtually. Live Auditions are judged in real time. Judges provide participants with immediate on-air feedback. From 1994 until his retirement in 2019, Maestro Paul John Stanbery led the Butler Philharmonic to new heights. During his 25-year tenure as Music Director and Principle Conductor he helped transform Hamilton Symphony from a simple community orchestra, performing only once or twice a year, to the multi-faceted organization it is today. 1997 Paul became conductor of the Youth Orchestra, which was under the auspices of the Fitton Center for Creative Arts. The Youth Orchestra was transferred to the Butler Philharmonic organization in 2005. During Paul’s tenure, the Guild started – a sister support group that promotes music thru scholarships, funded by snack sales at BP concerts, and social fund-raising events such as the Party of Note and more. The historic Sorg Opera House The historic Sorg Opera House is located in the heart of revitalized downtown Middletown. The theater is within walking distance from bustling entertainment, breweries, and bars allowing you turn your trip to the Sorg Theater into a whole day of fun.
