A second opera, Twelfth Night, commissioned by Long Leaf Opera, has been seen in three productions, in North Carolina, Chicago, and southern California. The recording contains two piano pieces played by Feigin, one of which, Meditation I, has been termed “an as yet unrecognized masterpiece of contemporary piano literature...Feigin is an excellent and most sensitive pianist”( Mark Greenfest, SoundWord Sight). In 2006, he began Bachelor of Music degree at the University of Colorado Boulder, studying with Erika Eckert and Geraldine Walther. In 2011, Mr. Krimm returned to Dallas to pursue a Performer’s Diploma at Southern Methodist University where he studied with Ellen Rose. While in attendance, Andrew co-founded the award-winning string quartet, Altius Quartet. During their residency at SMU, Altius Quartet won first prize at the Coltman Chamber Music Competition, first prize at the Plowman Chamber Music Competition, and was awarded the Silver Medal at the Fischoff National Chamber Music Competition. In the Fall of 2015, Mr. Krimm moved to Boulder to study with the world renowned Takacs Quartet. The Altius Quartet was awarded a three-year residency at CU-Boulder to guide the quartet through the creative and business aspects of having a successful career as a string quartet. In 2016 with the Altius Quartet, Mr. Krimm made his Carnegie Hall debut in NYC. The Altius Quartet recently completed two albums. The first was released in April 2017 featuring a mash up of many different genres including Haydn, Bolcom, a-ha, and Dave Brubeck. Ms Danchenko-Stern is the FOUNDER OF THE RUSSIAN CHAMBER ART SOCIETY. Born in Russia, she was both a graduate and faculty member of the esteemed Gnessin Institute of Music in Moscow. Her artistic and teaching career in the former Soviet Union has qualified her as a soloist and accompanist for singers and instrumentalists, and as a piano teacher. Ms. Danchenko-Stern lived in Toronto for 13 years and was on the faculty of piano, Royal Conservatory of Music, where she taught piano and the art of piano accompaniment for voice and instruments. There she became an experienced vocal coach. Now living in the United States, she specializes in coaching singers in Russian Art ongs and operatic repertoire. She placed third in that same competition in 2018. In 2019, she placed second in the Ohio Jr. Music Federation all state (Ohio) and all instruments competition. She placed first at the Indiana International Guitar Competition in 2022. She has opened for the Beijing Guitar Duo at the Cincinnati Guitar Society as a soloist and as a duo with her duet partner. She has enjoyed playing multiple times at the Cincinnati Nature Center. She has performed in masterclasses with Martha Masters, Thomas Viloteau, and Mak Grgic. In 2020 and 2022 she was a competitor in the Guitar Foundation of America youth junior division competition

He studied piano at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, where in 2006 he earned the degree of Academic Musician–Pianist and Piano Professor in the class of Prof. Pavica Gvozdić. He completed postgraduate studies in chamber music in 2012 at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Graz, studying with Prof. Chia Chou. Through the Erasmus student exchange program, he pursued studies in electroacoustic music at the Institute for Electroacoustic Music in 2017–2018 in the class of Prof. Dr. Karlheinz Essl. In 2019, he completed composition studies at the Academy of Music in Zagreb under Prof. Frano Parać. Throughout his education and professional career, he has been active as a soloist and collaborative artist, performing extensively across Croatia. Notable appearances include concerts with the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Academy of Music in Zagreb, and the Zagreb Youth Orchestra, as well as performances within the Virtuoso concert series, Krk Summer Evenings, the Epidaurus Festival, the Darko Lukić Young Artists Tribune, and the Osor Musical Evenings. His compositions have been performed in numerous Croatian and international projects and festivals, including Code:new and Code:new Goes Chamber, the Virtuoso cycle, Izlog suvremenog zvuka, ISA 2015, the Music Tribune in Opatija (2016), the Sebastian Quartet season (2016–2017), the bilateral project Year of Culture Croatia–Austria 2017, the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, and the Music Biennale Zagreb. He was awarded scholarships at the International Summer Academy in Mürzzuschlag, Austria (2015), and at the European Atelier for Composition Students in Sofia (2017), where he was selected to represent the Academy of Music in Zagreb. He is also a recipient of the Rector’s Award for the academic year 2017–2018. In 2018–2019, with the support of the First Department of the Academy of Music in Zagreb, he initiated and led the student workshop Slušaonica – Music in the 21st Century, presenting and contextualizing diverse aesthetic directions in contemporary music. As part of Music Biennale Zagreb 2019, he moderated the round table Music, Society, Now, focused on contemporary musical discourse. In 2019, through a collaboration between the University of Melbourne and the University of Zagreb, he delivered a lecture at the Academy of Music in Zagreb on the fundamentals, guidelines, and creative applications of the Max programming language. He is a regular member of the Croatian Composers’ Society. Following the completion of his piano studies, he worked from 2006 to 2017 as a piano teacher and accompanist at the Albert Štriga Music School in Križevci, teaching at both elementary and secondary levels. Since 2019, he has been on the faculty of the Josip Hatze Music School in Split, and since 2020 he has served as an external associate at the Arts Academy in Split. It begins, innocently enough, with a cheerful tune in dotted Gigue rhythm, but quickly proves to be a treacherous test of virtuosity with its rapid, four-voice writing and its especially difficult pedal part. The fugue works well if played in a low-key manner, but some performers feel that if they're going to take the trouble to master this three-minute piece, they should impress the audience with its difficulty, so with a combination of showy registration choices and fast tempo, this can also be used as a barn-burner. < Back Previous Leopold Brauneiss Next Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall April 1, 2024 WATCH VIDEO Leopold Brauneiss (b. 1961) is an Austrian composer, musicologist, and educator based in Vienna. He studied musicology at the University of Vienna and music education, piano, and composition with Heinz Kratochwill at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, earning his doctorate in music in 1988. From 1990 to 2010, Brauneiss taught music theory at the J.M. Hauer Conservatory in Wiener Neustadt. Since 2004 he has served as Lecturer in Harmony and Counterpoint at the University of Vienna, and since 2006 he has held a lectureship in harmony, counterpoint, and orchestration at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater “Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy” in Leipzig. Brauneiss’s principal research focuses on the Tintinnabuli style of Arvo Pärt, whom he has known personally for more than twenty years. The style’s characteristic reduction, structural clarity, and austere compositional methods have had a formative influence on his own musical language, which he often enriches with chromatic and even dodecaphonic elements within a tonal framework. His works have been performed by internationally renowned artists such as Gidon Kremer, by ensembles including Kremerata Baltica, and by orchestras such as the Tonkünstlerorchester Niederösterreich, and have been presented at major festivals including Wien Modern and the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival.

At the age of 10, she became the youngest musician to earn the Licentiate Diploma (LRCM) with Distinction from the Royal Conservatory of Music. She has performed in major venues including Carnegie Hall and Steinway Hall in New York and has been recognized with numerous awards, among them the Sound Espressivo Globe Competition. In addition to her musical achievements, Antian was featured in CBC’s 30 Under 30 Canadian Classical Musicians and earned a bronze medal representing Canada at the 34th International Biology Olympiad. She also received a full scholarship to the Morningside Music Bridge program at the New England Conservatory in Boston.

She previously attended Juilliard’s Preparatory Division, serving as principal second violinist in Juilliard’s MAP Orchestra and performing with the New York Philharmonic’s Performing Inclusion concert in 2023. Myla has soloed with professional orchestras including the American Sinfonietta and Sempre Musick Orchestra, earning a Special Award for Best Performance of a Baroque Concerto. She has also performed with the Vermont Youth Orchestra Association and is currently Assistant Principal Second Violinist in Vermont’s top youth orchestra. Her achievements include over a dozen top awards in international competitions, the Toby Ann Stavisky NY State Senator Award, and the Black Violin Foundation James Miles Musical Innovation Award. She has performed at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall, and David Geffen Hall, and has participated in masterclasses with Midori, Stefan Jackiw, and Soovin Kim. Myla has received merit scholarships to programs such as Interlochen’s Junior Advanced Strings and the Sphinx Summer Performance Academy at Juilliard. She enjoys sharing music with her community—from concert halls to schools, churches, and even backyards—and is inspired by the power of music to reflect and enhance the beauty around us.

The Curtis Institute of Music commissioned a new work from Mr. Adler as part of their Centenary Commissioning Initiative “100x100.” He presented the world premiere of A Curtis Reflection for piano solo in recital at the Yamaha Artist Services Studio NY in November for broadcast at Curtis during their Centenary Celebrations in 2024. In April, he appears in recital on the “Salon Concerts at Klavierhaus” series in New York, and also performs on the Arts on Bergen midday concert series at Saint Peter’s University. His Suite Moderne for Strings is featured at Virtual Concert Hall’s Laureate Gala on April 4 at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. In 2023, the Global Music Awards selected Mr. Adler as a Silver Medal Winner – Outstanding Achievement in the Composer category for his album That Star in the Picture.
