Victorio Menghi is an Argentine composer, guitarist, singer, producer, arranger, and music educator whose creative journey began in early childhood. He started studying keyboard at the age of eight and wrote his first song, “Rompamos las Cadenas” (“Let’s Break the Chains”), at nine. More than four decades later, composition remains at the heart of an international artistic career developed across the Americas and Europe.

Menghi received extensive musical and academic training in Argentina, including studies at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA), a Superior Guitar Degree specializing in Tango from the Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda (EMPA), and a Diploma in Music and Technology from the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes (UNQ), where he also completed the coursework for the degree program in Electroacoustic Composition.

His professional career includes his 1996 debut at Buenos Aires’ historic Teatro Maipo, under the support of Lino Patalano. His albums were internationally distributed by EMI (through BMV), and his music has been published by Warner Chappell Music.

Throughout his career, Menghi’s work as a composer and musician has received numerous distinctions and recognitions. His song “Como una Gaviota y dos Mariposas” received recognition from Fundación Octubre; “Ser o No Ser” was distinguished through a songwriting competition organized by Argentina’s Radio Rock & Pop; and his orchestral composition “Himno de Honor” was selected among the leading works in an international competition in Costa Rica. In 2012, his original compositions were selected as semifinalists in the International Songwriting Competition (ISC). In the United States, Menghi later received distinctions at the MOLA Awards (Mirror of Life Awards) in three artistic categories: Composer, Guitarist, and Singer, among others.

Menghi is the creator of Tango Fussion and Tango Fussion World Tour, original artistic projects bringing Argentine tango into dialogue with symphonic, electronic, rock, world, and contemporary musical languages. The projects have involved numerous distinguished Argentine artists and have been presented internationally. His exploration of symphonic music has also included recordings with an ensemble formed by musicians associated with the Academic Orchestra of Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

His music has also been connected with international cultural and humanitarian initiatives. He composed, produced, and artistically directed “Se Alzan las Voces” for the World March for Peace and Nonviolence, an international movement that traveled through countries and cities across multiple continents.

His international career has included performances and cultural presentations throughout the United States, Latin America, and Europe, including an invited performance at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) headquarters in Washington, D.C. His artistic and cultural work received official recognition from Argentina’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its artistic and cultural significance.

In 2015, his professional achievements were recognized in the United States through an O-1 classification for extraordinary ability in music.

Menghi’s career has received media coverage in Argentina and the United States, including The Washington Post, NY1 News, Univision, Telemundo, and numerous television, radio, and press outlets.

He is also the author of the books Música Completa (Whole Music) and Conciencia Ecos, two works reflecting complementary dimensions of his artistic philosophy: music, creativity, consciousness, and spirituality. Throughout his career, Menghi has explored music not only as an artistic language, but also as a means of human and spiritual connection.

His current creative work includes MASTER PIECES, an extensive collection of original compositions exploring the orchestral dimension of his music while bringing together contemporary production, tango, cinematic, electronic, world, and popular musical influences — continuing a creative journey of more than four decades devoted to expanding the possibilities of musical expression.
