From 2014 to 2019, Ethan Eager participated on several occasions as a guest conductor in educational concerts with the Camerata de Coahuila. He is currently the Director of the Coahuila Institute of Music.


Ethan Daniel Eager Clingan (Torreón, Coahuila, 1986) began his piano and solfège studies at the age of 5 under the tutelage of his mother, Beri Clingan de Eager, later continuing his piano studies with Amy Wielenga. At age 11, he began violin lessons with Victor Lipov, and subsequently with Guillermo Villalobos, Natalia Zabolotskaja, Tatiana Marouchtchak, Tatul Yeghiazarián, and Marina Gorbenko.

She studied orchestral conducting with Natalia Riazanova, and in October 2010 participated in a workshop in Mexico City organized by the National System for Musical Development for orchestra conductors, taught by Armando Zaya Pérez and Jorge Córdoba Valencia. In the summer of 2010, she traveled to Vienna, Austria, to take classes in orchestral conducting and musical analysis with Manfred Huss.


In October 2018 he took an Orchestral Conducting course with Maestro Jörg Birhance, in the City of Zacatecas, and from 2020 to date, he has been taking courses in Musical Analysis remotely with Maestro Birhance, at the European Music Institute Vienna.

Since 2006 he has directed the Orchestra and Choir «Ecos en el Desierto», a Lagunera group that over 16 years has performed in the main theaters of Torreón, Guanajuato, Monterrey, Saltillo, Reynosa, Zacatecas, León and San Luis Potosí.

Since 2014, he has been the Artistic Director of the Torreón Youth Symphony Orchestra (OSIJUT), where he previously served as Assistant Conductor (from 2010 to 2013). Under his baton, OSIJUT has presented a series of annual season concerts and educational programs, including Felix Mendelssohn's oratorio "Elijah"; a staging of Leo Delibes' ballet "Coppelia"; Giacomo Puccini's opera "La Bohème"; and John Williams' soundtrack for "Star Wars," to name a few. OSIJUT has also collaborated with numerous soloists, choral groups, and dance ensembles, and has participated in the Julio Torri Festival in Coahuila and the Silvestre Revueltas International Arts Festival, performing in Durango City, Durango. In 2020, OSIJUT performed in Las Cruces, USA, alongside the New Horizons Symphony of that city.
