As a Cultural Advisor of the City of Buenos Aires, she is carrying out important concerts, museum activities, master classes at Universities in Colombia and Portugal about the language of Tango. Carla is member of the International Arts Council and in charge of the Bandonium Foundation and responsible for the Patrimonialization of Tango at UNESCO. Outstanding personality of the culture of the City of Buenos Aires, Carla received the Order of the Mano Blanca Mailbox and also awarded the key to the City of Miami from Miami’s Mayor Office for her work in Culture. The municipalities of Santuario, Medellín, Pereira, Andes, Jericó, Buga, Santa Fé de Antioquia, Bucaramanga, and other cities in Colombia, offered her different recognitions. He has an undergraduate degree in Music Education from Arizona State University. His Master’s Degree is in Double Bass performance from the University of Michigan. Additional education includes a Summer Fellowship at Northwestern in Chicago and numerus conducting and orchestra education workshops. Mr. Lane has taught elementary through college music for over 35 years. He was orchestra director at Shawnee Mission East High School for 31 years where he also taught middle school. In that time, the SM East orchestra performed as an Honor Orchestra at; Chicago Mid-West Band and Orchestra Clinic, Music Educator National Conference (MENC), the American String Teachers National (ASTA) convention and Kansas Music Educators Association conference. He has also been a guest clinician and given talks at the Mid- West Band and Orchestra clinic, Missouri Music Teachers Association and ASTA. He has also published articles and the ASTA magazine and the Instrumentalist. He is a contributor to the GIA series of books “Teaching Music Through Performance in Orchestra”. Mr. Lane has been on the faculty of many summer music camps including the Fort Hays and Blue Lake summer music camps. Jon Lane is active as a professional double bass player and teacher. He keeps a private bass studio in the Kansas City area. Former students have gone on the top music schools like Indiana University and Julliard, some have gone on to play in the Hong Kong and the Wichita Symphonies. He has 3 grown children, two granddaughters, he also plays tennis and does yoga.     < Back Previous Charlotte Chan Next Gala at Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall November 25, 2025 WATCH VIDEO Charlotte Chan – Violinist Charlotte Chan began her musical journey at the age of five and commenced masterclass studies with Olga Khroulevitch at age nine. Driven by her passion for the violin, she has rapidly developed as a performer and earned awards in numerous regional, national, and international competitions, including the Metropolitan Music Festival, New Asia International Music Competition, American Virtuoso International Music Competition, and the Young Soloist International Competition. Charlotte regularly collaborates with the American Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (AYPO) and has served as Assistant Concertmaster for AYPO’s Prelude Strings and Prelude Violins since 2023. She has also participated in several string and orchestral programs at the Greater Washington Suzuki Institute and performed in chamber music ensembles at Immanuel Christian School, the Peabody Institute, and the Maryland Youth Philharmonic Orchestra (MYCO). An accomplished performer, Charlotte has been invited to play at school, church, and community events, as well as at Carnegie Hall. She thrives in both solo and ensemble settings, cherishing the friendships and experiences that grow from her shared love of music.

Her music has been performed by ensembles including the World Youth Wind Symphony, the EAMA Resident String Quartet, and musicians from Interlochen and Juilliard. She is the first prize winner of the Music Teachers’ Association of California Composers Today Competition and was named a semifinalist for the 2025 ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composers Award. Danlei’s work reflects a deep engagement with both instrumental color and emotional narrative, drawing on her experience as a performer. Music for Piano, Violin, or Cello, written for Young Performers. Violin and Cello pieces can be with or without accompaniment. No compositions for chamber ensembles. Compositions for Piano 4Hands are accepted. Awards Up to Three Scores will be selected for a performance at the Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall in the 2024-25 concert season, at the Laureates Gala (one composition for Piano, plus one for Violin, plus one for Cello).     < Back Ka Long (Chris) Au Piano, Program Host, Board Member, Social Media Manager Learn More Videos About As of December 2021, Chris Au is a multiple prize winner of the 2021 Sydney Eisteddfod: in particular, earning 1st Prize in the all the Open Age categories of Chopin Piano, 19th Century Piano, and Russian Piano. In August 2021, the Young Concert Artists International Piano Competition of the WPTA Thailand awarded Chris with the Gold Award and WPTA Thailand Artist Award for his performances of Beethoven and Chopin. Celebrated for his ‘intimate dialogue between him…and the audience’ (Barrie Examiner), Chris Au is a 1st Prizewinner of the 2020 Sound Espressivo Global Competition (specializing in the Music Ambassador Category), Prizewinner of the 2020 Texas State International Piano Concerto Competition, Semi-Finalist of the 2020 Maestro Art Taiwan International Piano Competition, and Prizewinner of the 2016 Shean Piano Competition. Since his return to Sydney, he has presented Charity Concerts to raise money for Arthritis NSW and raise awareness to Auto-Immune Chronic Diseases and to encourage others who may be suffering. So far, he has raised over $4000. His virtual concerts with Virtual Concert Halls and Polyphony Arts have been internationally acclaimed. Most recently, he was invited by the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC to perform at the New South Wales Government House. Chris Au was born in Hong Kong and raised in Sydney, Australia. He began serious studies at the age of 14 upon his acceptance in the studio of renowned Australian pedagogue Margaret Hair. Since studying with her, Chris received accolades such as 1st Prize in the 2010 Sydney Eisteddfod Recital Award and at the Parramatta Eisteddfod. His progress was significantly hindered for a few years when he was diagnosed with Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis at the age of 16. Under the care of Dr. Jeffrey Chaitow, he continues to take fortnightly biologic injections to keep the condition under control. His first musical experience overseas brought him to Germany, where he won the Audience 1st Prize at the 2010 Klaviersommer Bad Bertrich whilst under the tutelage of Professor John Perry. Inspired by this experience, Chris began to pursue a career in music. Chris began his Undergraduate studies at The Colburn School with Ory Shihor, and continued them John Perry and David Louie at the Glenn Gould School of Music of the Royal Conservatory of Music, Toronto. There, he also attained his Artist Diploma. During that time, he was generously sponsored by the Full-Tuition Joan and Jerry Lozinski Scholarship, and has performed in Koerner Hall. In May of 2020, Chris completed his Masters of Music Degree with Jean Saulnier and Jeanne Amiele at the University of Montreal. He is currently pursuing his D.E.P.A. at the University of Montreal with Jean Saulnier and Charles Richard-Hamelin. He has won scholarships to many summer festivals including the Banff Centre, the Orford Music Festival, the John Perry Academy, the Gijon International Piano Festival, the International Holland Music Sessions, and the Kawai Sydney International Piano Festival. He has had the great opportunity to work in Masterclasses with legendary artists such as Menahem Pressler, Leon Fleisher, Richard Goode, Krzysztof Jablonski, Daniel Shapiro, Anton Nel, Andre Leplante, Marc Durand, Marietta Orlov, and Robert McDonald.     Catalina Wert < Back Catalina Wert Previous Next Catalina Wert USA GUITARIST Catalina is 10 years old and in the fourth grade. She has been playing classical guitar for 5 years with Jeremy Collins and Jim McCutcheon. She has competed in the Indiana International Guitar Competition and won five consecutive superior scores with the Ohio Jr. Music Federation program. In 2021, she was a National Gold Medal winner in her Royal Conservatory of Music exam. She has enjoyed playing as a soloist and part of the Queen City Guitar Quartet around different venues in the Cincinnati area.
